Charity work can sometimes be boring. You know it. I know it. I spend a large portion of my free time doing volunteer work; however, if I'm not passionate about the work, it's hard not to imagine myself relaxing in my underwear instead of scrubbing inner city dumpsters on a Sunday afternoon. But guess what I just found out: relaxing in your underwear IS charity! (Seriously, though.)
Behold, Undie Run! All around the nation, college students are running, half-naked for charity. Here how it works. It's a very complicated process, so please pay close attention.
Step 1: Show up in the clothes you want to donate to charity. (Wear multiple layers if you're feeling generous.)
Step 2: Take them off.
Step 3: Run a mile. (No running actually required.)
Step 4: Your clothing is donated to nearby shelters and non-profits.
Philanthropy and boobies have never been more accessible!

According to the National Coalition for the Homeless, as many as 3.5 million Americans experience homelessness in any given year. Many more are not homeless, but still in need of assistance. The Undie Run started in San Diego back in '06 and, not surprisingly, has become an annual event on many college campuses. Last year, the Austin Undie Run (which is happening tonight!) donated a whopping 3,200 pounds of clothing to charity!
If you'd like to organize an Undie Run in your town or on your campus, head on over to the Undie Run website. And just think. When you go home for summer break, you can tell your parents you did volunteer work this semester. You'll make them really proud. (Just don't show them the pics.)
