We've all heard of Utopia, but have you heard of Sustainatopia? The org, founded by John Rosser, wants to work for social, financial and environmental sustainability. He thinks Earth Day should be everyday! #TrueDat In honor of everyone making a difference or wanting to make a difference, he just held the Third Annual Impact Conferences in Miami.
It lasted from April 19 through the 25, and had all sorts of interesting attendees, including people from the BBC, Discovery and yup, MTV was in the house. Celebs like Donna Karan, Venus Williams and Selita Ebanks have attended in the past, so this conference is no stranger to big names. Parts of the conference included "Impact & Our Oceans," "Women & Sustainability" and "Sustainable Haiti." It's also cool and worth pointing out how much the arts got involved at the conference, like with "Art @ Sustainatopia" and "Film at Sustainatopia."
The conference may have ended, but there's also next year. Plus Sustainatopia stresses how we should help out all year around. Obvi, right? Any day is a good day to do good!
