If you haven't watched the Genesis Awards before, it's a great time to start. Some say this is something like the Oscars for animals. No, that awesome dog you saw do tricks in a movie isn't getting any awards . . . the awards go to people who raise awareness about different animal issues, like animal cruelty. Yes, Fido's tricks were awesome, but the point here is to spread awareness for how animals are treated. This year's show is being hosted by "DWTS" judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who also puts together awesomely adorable Crib Cats videos.
Feature Film, Feature Documentary, Children's Programming and National News are some of the categories people can win in. But the real winners are -- drumrolls please -- the animals!
