Jason Mraz drinks a lot of water, but he makes sure not to use up a plastic bottle every time he gets thirsty. The singer-songwriter, who recently took part in MTV Exit Live in Myanmar to end slavery, used Twitter to remind us how to stay environmentally-conscious as we fly around for the holidays and into 2013.
Jason Tweeted:
Boarding my 86th flight this year. Average airport water is appx 4 bucks. Thanks to my own bottle I saved $344. Banning plastic makes cents.

Cutting back on plastic bottle use (or, preferably, eliminating it all together) can be an easy way to help the environment. But 86 flights in one year?! How is that going green? Knowing Jason, he's probably going as green as he can with what's available. Because, let's face it: Jason Mraz loves the environment, and he does a lot of things for it.
Case in point? He got involved in Climate Reality Project's 24 Hours of Reality: The Dirty Weather Report, and was behind the launch of the Tree is a Four Letter Word program, which encourages his fans to be environmentally friendly and gives aid to local green orgs.
Jason uses his star power for a green theme, but there are also ways you can help out the environment. Stopping the use of plastic bottles is definitely one simple but good thing to do. It's almost the New Year, so what are your 2013 resolutions to get more green?
