+ Watch The Story Of Hungry.
Right now, about 16 million children live in homes that have a hard time getting their next meal. That means about one out of every five kids isn't able to get all the food and nutrition they need.
This gets a vicious cycle going. Kids who are hungry don't do as well in school. 'Cause you need food to be able to concentrate, ya know? Not getting proper food also causes kids to get sick way more than they would otherwise. All these struggles makes it harder for them to finish school, and this can make it harder for them to get a good job. If they're adults struggling to cover their bills because they don't have a good job, what happens? Yup, they're struggling with hunger again. And if they have kids . . . well, I think you get the idea.
No Kid Hungry does things like supply needy kids meals throughout the school year and summer months, and helps their parents learn how to shop for healthy foods on a very small budget. They're already making a diff, and you can join Sarah to continue the good work. And if you're struggling to get your next meal, you're also welcome to contact them for assistance. Getting proper meals can change your whole life.
