The countdown for the 2013 VMAs has begun, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's nominated song "Same Love" continues to inspire. In fact, the talented duo Tegan and Sara recently joined up with the guys at the Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal and sang the song with them.
Tegan and Sara is made up of Tegan Quin and Sara Quin, twin sisters who are both gay and like to be involved with LGBTQ rights, so this song was the perf fit for them. Afterward, the sisters Tweeted a vid for everyone to see:

The girls, who have a new album out called "Heartthrob," def aren't new to showing support for the LGBTQ community. They've both posed for the NOH8 campaign, and Tegan spoke up about the campaign and marriage equality in general, saying, "Sara and I are huge fans of Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley and what they have created with their incredibly moving, powerful and wide reaching NOH8 Campaign... Although we are Canadian, we have both vowed to remain unmarried in solidarity with the millions who don't have the same rights as us around the world. We hope that our voices (and in this case our photos) help raise awareness and assist in bringing equality to the masses." The girls have also spoken to MTV about their work inspiring the gay community, making their own "It Gets Better"-type project.
