We're major fans of Cody Simpson, and not just because he's the human replica of a Ken doll...with a guitar and an Australian accent to boot.
At only 16-years-old, he's already realized the important roles hard work and self-confidence play in becoming successful at anything. Watch him speak about it -in that fab Aussie accent of his -- after the jump!
Cody didn't get to Surfer's Paradise by being afraid of the waves. "It's always important to believe in your own ability and trust your own instincts," he says. "And never let anybody get in the way of the goal at hand." Although hard work is crucial, it's also important to enjoy yourself! "Work as hard as you can, and have fun too," advises Cody. "If you're not having fun, then there's really no point." YOLO!
Speaking of fun times, Cody's second studio album Surfer's Paradise is filled with feel-good beach vibes. His favorite song on the album is the second single, "Summertime Of Our Lives." "I love the simplicity of the ukelele," he says. "The minimal production helps bring out the emotion of the song."
