It's here! The first trailer for "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" just went live, and there is a lot to take it. First we need to stop crying. SMAUG!

Okay, that's better. Take a look at the first trailer for "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug after the jump!

The second movie of the trilogy picks up right after Bilbo, Gandalf, and the dwarves escaped from Azog and the orcs thanks to another convenient save from the giant eagles. This time, they're still on their way to Smaug, but they'll have Mirkwood Forrest to deal with, but no Gandalf to help them.

"The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" opens in theaters on December 13.
