The first preview for a movie that's sure to be in the awards mix later this year, "Diana," just debuted over at MSN UK. The biopic about the life and times of Princess Diana stars Naomi Watts, who is just coming off of an Academy Award nomination for her work in "The Impossible."

The movie has "award bait" written all over it, especially considering Watts' recent nomination and the director, Oliver Hirschbiegel, who directed the Hitler drama "Downfall" and the forgettable "Body Snatchers" redo, "The Invasion."

The actual trailer is a bit of a curiosity and looks oddly like a Lifetime Network movie about the public figure's more controversial years. We'll have to wait until later this year to see how it all comes together and if "Diana" actually has some awards potential.

"Diana" is set for a September debut in the UK with no date set for the US.
