At Chez Cyrus, the pets are fam. Miley Cyrus is big on helping out animals (while giving her own pets babies lots of love) and she wants you to join her in protecting our furry friends.

A great way to help out pets is to adopt ones that need homes (if you're in a situation where you're able to provide for them, of course!). Miley Tweeted a ridiculous adorable puppy in need of a home:

Is anyone else thinking love at first sight when they see this puppy? It's so easy to get sucked into the kitten and puppy sections of the Internet (soooo cute), but how about going beyond digital and helping dogs and cats IRL? This particular puppy is with Saving SPOT! Rescue, a Los Angeles non-profit that rescues dogs from high kill shelters and seeks homes for them. Miley likes it so much that she got her fans to donate there for her b-day. Check it out, SoCal residents!

If you're serious about adopting a dog, but don't live nearby Saving SPOT! Rescue, you can check out your local shelter, or look up adoptable dogs online. The ASPCA has a whole section showing you dogs you can adopt, and maybe you remember when Miley's fellow Disney star Selena Gomez Tweeted about Island Dog. Island Dog is a group in Puerto Rico that rescues dogs on the street, and they will fly these pooches to the U.S. for adoption. Check out their available doggies!
