In addition to lucking out in scoring some new "Sin City" intel from Robert Rodriguez recently for our "A Dame To Kill For" preview, we also had the opportunity to check in on his other buzzworthy, star-studded 2013 release, "Machete Kills" and what may or may not lead a third Machete film to be set in space.
Rodriguez admitted that he's finishing editing on "Kills" in the midst of his directing duties on "A Dame To Kill For," and that we should expect some teasers soon.
"That's a really fun, really cool movie and another incredible amazing cast," he said. "I'm having a grand time, that was a fun production. I think we'll be trying to tease out images very soon."
How many extra cameos are in there that we don't know of, in addition to the likes of Charlie Sheen, Lady Gaga, Mel Gibson, etc.?
"Oh my God, I don't know. There are probably some more that people don't know about because we've kept them under wraps," Rodriguez admitted. "But there are definitely are some people involved who haven't been announced."
So when will we see "Machete in Space"?
"I don't know how to answer that yet. I want to leave some surprises," Rodriguez said. "I haven't been asked that question yet so I'm trying to figure out strategically how to answer that. It is very fun to think about ,and I'm equally as excited about that as the audience was when I first told them the title. I've paid more attention to it as people have come up to me and said, 'I really want to see "Machete in Space!"' and I'm like, 'Yeah me too,' but I don't know why."
