On Monday we had a Presidential Inauguration and celebrated Martin Luther King Day...........aaaaand perhaps the biggest story of the day was whether or not Beyoncé had lip-synched the National Anthem.

While some people are criticizing Queen Bey for the alleged lip-syncing, many, many, many others -- including Ellen DeGeneres, Jay Sean, Jim Carrey, and Anderson Cooper -- are coming to her aid. We're here to join the latter. It doesn't matter if she lip-synched or not, because (a) King Bey can obviiii sing and (b) we love her heart of gold. Here are three ways Beyoncé has lent her flawless voice to better the world.

+ World Humanitarian Day

Beyoncé was a major player in the UN's Humanitarian Day. She made a PSA to get more people involved, and recorded her amazing and goosebump-inducing "I Was Here" anthem for WHD. WHD was all about making a mark by helping someone else, and she helped millions of more people lend their voice to the movement.

+ Taking Part of the Political Process

Beyoncé wasn't just picked to sing at the Inauguration because of a coincidence. She's big into politics, getting involved with the Obama campaign and letting us know she voted. Whichever candidate you vote for in an election, it's important that you do flex your voting muscles. And let's not forget you can be part of the political process outside of elections by letting your elected officials know how you feel about issues -- like how Beyoncé let her opinion on gun control be known after the tragedy at Sandy Hook.

+ The Survivor Foundation

In 2005, Beyoncé's philanthropy got personal when she founded her own Survivor Foundation. The foundation is here to help people displaced by disasters, and it also goes out of its way to help the homeless and people who have HIV/AIDS. B's used her concerts as opportunities to ask for food donations.
