For months, the buzz around "Lovelace" has been making headlines coast-to-coast, but at last -- it finally premiered this week to a packed audience at the Sundance Film Festival! Luckily I was able to catch a screening of the lovely film, and it did NOT disappoint.

Amanda Seyfried plays the role of Linda Boreman (or "Linda Lovelace"), a pornographic actress starring in one of the most successful sex films ever made. It's the story behind her personal journey that will leave any moviegoer fascinated. And yes, even Amanda Seyfried admitted it may reveal a bit too much to some, revealing: "The porn aspect, the violence, all that stuff didn't scare me at all," she said adding, "My friends had such incredible things to say just after the movie, and then my sister's like, 'There are just so many boobs! There's just too much of your boobs.'"

If we just stopped right now and judged a book porno by the cover, we would be missing out on an extremely intriguing story. As the film begins we are introduced to Charlie Traynor, played by Peter Sarsgaard, who soon begins to date Linda and introduces her to a completely new world. Her highly successful adult film grosses over $300 million, but sadly, Linda only sees nearly $1,000 of that money. Exploited much?

On top of being exploited, abuse and prostitution really showed much Linda truly was controlled. (Spoiler: very much.) After six years of being trapped in a such a scary world, she sets out to get out of the toxic relationship and break her silence. According to One Billion Rising, 1 in 3 women will be raped or beaten in her lifetime! That's one billion women who, like Linda Lovelace, have been violated around the world.
