For the hardcore of the hardcore Tolkien fans, there is only one way to prepare for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" when it opens in theaters in December, and in the past two days, we've learned how those fans will be doing it.
Both Cinemark and Regal have announced "Lord of the Rings" marathons in the lead-up to "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey." These will be the Extended Editions, so your glut of Middle-earth will last a whole 13 hours, from roughly 11 a.m. to midnight.
Tickets go on sale for both Regal and Cinemark go on sale tomorrow (November 7). You can find a list of participating Regal theaters here and Cinemark here.
