Vinny Guadagnino's birthday is this Sunday, but it's not keeping him from thinking about others -- the "Jersey Shore" cast member has unleashed his inner philanthropist and is helping Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. He's put together a page at GoFundMe to raise money for Staten Island, and you might be able to get some awesome gifts if you give.
Every little bit helps! Vinny and the people of Staten Island would appreciate any financial help they can get. Vinny explains, "If everyone of my twitter followers donated $1 I would be able to donate millions to Tunnel to Towers Foundation and benefit the lives of those who have been devastated by the storm ..Please donate whatever you can and help my fellow Staten Islanders, and I will personally present it."
If you're able to donate more (or perhaps get friends to pitch in, too), there are incentives. Check this: if you donate $300, Vinny will give you a personal thank-you shout out on Twitter. If you donate $500 or more, he will personally get on the phone to say thanks. And if you donate more than $1,000, he will video chat with you! How cool is that?!
Vinny got this started earlier this week, and is hoping to raise $100,000. Even though people assume he's from New Jersey because of "Jersey Shore," he's actually a Staten Island boy, and he wants to lend home a hand.
