Being a bad boy is all in the eyes, so Ian Somerhalder couldn't look like a nice guy if he tried. Looks can be deceiving though, because the "Vampire Diaries" actor is actually one of the most devoted activists in the Twitterverse. Every other Tweet he writes is about politics, or the environment, or his charity foundation…to the point that I sometimes wish he'd just Instagram a photo of his freakin' beautiful face.

Bad boys always have great abs, but Trey Songz also exercises another part of his hot bod on the reg: his heart. He started the Angels With A Heart Foundation to encourage his fans to do kind things in their communities in place of giving him gifts at shows. No wonder homeless shelters have been receiving a slew of donated bras lately…
+ Channing Tatum: The Swag

Ever since "21 Jump Street," I've been wanting to 21 jump Channing. Sorry. Inappropriate. But what did you expect from a post about bad boys? Channing's swag is through the roof, but his ego isn't. From helping to raise millions for the preservation of the rainforest to auctioning off personal items for the Angels For Animals Rescue League, this bad boy is so, so good.
+ Tyler Hoechlin: The Alpha

Tyler Hoechlin is an alpha werewolf on "Teen Wolf" and an alpha male in the real world. He's the guy every guy wants to be, and every girl wants to be with. He's also apparently an alpha in the sports arena -- participating in last year's Nautica Malibu Triathalon, which benefited the Los Angeles Children's Hospital.

Ed Westwick may have an American accent on "Gossip Girl," but did you know that he's actually a Brit?! The hot accent makes him a certifiable bad boy in our books. Despite his serious British accent, Ed is quite the jokester. He once modeled a kilt down a runway all in the name of charity!

Every bad boy has confidence, and Kanye West has enough of it for all of the bad boys on this list! But he also has a more humble side, and showed it off when he visited the Los Angeles children's hospital with Kim K. earlier this year.

Bad boys sure know how to get the good girls, which totally explains his brief fling with Taylor Swift. Between breaking hearts, John Mayer always finds a way to refill the good ole karma jar. From charity auctions to charity concerts, it's pretty obvious that -- like all of the guys on this list -- he is just a good guy trying to act bad.
