It's been more than six months since "The Muppets 2" was officially announced, and details have slowly trickled in about the project ever since. We've known that James Bobin and Nicholas Stoller have been working on a script and that Jason Segel won't be involved, but we don't know much more beyond the fact that Christoph Waltz will be playing an Interpol agent in the film.
We still might not know much about the plot "The Muppets 2," but thanks to Collider we have a better idea of what the film movie consist of. The outlet had the opportunity to speak with "The Muppets" producer Todd Lieberman recently and got a few status updates on the project.
It turns out that "The Muppets 2" will be shot at Pinewood Studios in London and that filming will take place from late January until April in and around the city. Hopefully that means we'll get some sort of a James Bond cameo, especially considering the expected success of "Skyfall" when it hits US theaters this weekend.
Also confirmed is Bret McKenzie's return to the movie. The Oscar-winning "Flight of the Concords" star is writing songs for "The Muppets 2," though we don't know how anything could possibly top "Man or Muppet." We also "might" be getting a new Muppet for the sequel, and should expect a lot of exciting casting announcements soon. We can only imagine what celebrity cameos we're in store for this time. Again: please give us some Daniel Craig.
