The ladies on "Girl Code" will be returning for season two on October 29 at 11/10c. Until then, you can keep up with their jokes on social media, and Esther Ku used Twitter as a place to crack a joke . . . and bring up an important subject.
EsterKuKu (as she's known on Twitter) Tweeted:
Just discovered Call The Midwife on Netflix! Makes me sit on the edge of my seat and overdose on birth control.

"Call of the Midwife" is a drama series about midwives in 1950s London. While these days we go to doctors, midwives have a long history in helping women with things like birth control and childbirth. Esther's apparently riveted by the series — and knows it's important to prevent unwanted pregnancies!
Sex is a very personal issue, and it's important to do it only when you're ready (not when you're bf or gf says you're ready). When you're ready depends on your life, your beliefs, your circumstances, etc. But if you are having sex, it's so super necessary to use protection.
There are lots of different kinds of birth control, and different kinds work for different people. For instance, maybe you would have a hard time remembering to take the pill each day, so it'd be better to use something like the shot, because you only need to update that every three months. And it's also important to always use condoms, because they protect against pregnancy and STDs. It's Your [Sex] Life is a great source to answer questions on how different form of birth control work and how well they work. Esther's being colorful in how she's talking about birth control, but her message about using some kind of protection is spot on!
