"Hunger Games" star Josh Hutcherson has always been an ally to the LGBTQ community, but could the 20-year-old actor ever fall in love with another man? According to him, maybe.
Josh opened up about his views on his own and other people's sexuality in the November 2013 issue of Out magazine. "Maybe I could say right now I'm 100% straight," he said. "But who knows? In a f**king year, I could meet a guy and be like, 'Whoa, I'm attracted to this person'"
You know what I'm attracted to? Josh's face on the cover of Out.
"I've met guys all the time that I'm like, 'Damn, that's a good-looking guy, you know?'" he added. "I've never been, like, 'Oh, I want to kiss that guy.' I really love women. But I think defining yourself as 100% anything is kind of near-sighted and close-minded."
Josh's open mindedness and support of the LGBTQ community won him GLAAD's 2012 Vanguard Award. "This goes to anyone who's ever had a struggle in life being yourself," he said during his acceptance speech. "I think that the most beautiful thing a human being can do is just be who you are inside."
Josh credits his mother and two gay uncles, who died of AIDS, for sparking his interest in LGBTQ issues. He's an outspoken advocate for the Straight But Not Narrow campaign, which encourages straight guys and girls to come out in support of their LGBTQ friends. "To have a 'manly man guy' come out and say, 'Yeah guys, being gay is totally cool,' I think this is getting the message out there that it makes you more of a man to be comfortable with who you are and what you believe in," he told Nylon mag.
