A new international trailer for Ridley Scott and Cormac McCarthy's "The Counselor" should give you a better idea about the specifics of all the bad stuff that this beautiful group of people have been up to. But it's not just any group of beautiful people. This is one that includes Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz, and Brad Pitt.
And that's not to mention the first appearance in trailer by Hank Schrader himself, Dean Norris. That's what we're talking about.

"The Counselor" tells yet another story of a "smart guy" that thinks he can pull a big one-off drug deal without his world going to pieces. Yeah, that tends not to happen.
Things really go south when that enormous shipment of drugs goes missing and the Mexican cartel isn't so quick to believe that it wasn't an inside job and that Fassbender's Counselor wasn't the inside man that pulled it off.
This might sound like a fairly standard drug/crime thriller, but this is a story from McCarthy, who might work with genre form and ideas but in a way that's a thousand times more brutal than just about anything else out there. "The Counselor" is no exception to the rule. This is pitch black story, and anyone expecting anything else should be warned.
"The Counselor" is currently set for a October 25 release.
