August 28 will mark the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, where Dr. Martin Luther King gave his inspiring "I Have a Dream" speech. Tyrese hopes to get more people involved to continue the push for civil rights.

For Martin Luther King Day, Tyrese spoke to MTV Act about his involvement with The King Center, which continues Dr. King's legacy of nonviolence. You can get deets on what's going on when and where as people will be converging on Washington, DC.And while events are designed to honor Dr. King and other members of the Civil Rights Movement, they will also be about continuing the movement. For instance, many people are upset about the Supreme Court's recent ruling the Voting Rights Act, and this is an opportunity for people's voices to be heard on the issue. Civil Rights leader and Congressman John Lewis, who was also a speaker at the March on Washington, and whom I recently interviewed, talked all about it to MTV Act.

The events will culminate with President Obama giving a speech at the Lincoln Memorial, right where Dr. King stood when telling the nation of his dreams.
