We're biting our fingernails in anticipation of the Video Music Awards this Sunday at 9pm, and Kelly Clarkson, who's nominated for Best Video with a Social Message with her song "People Like Us," is still sending out important social messages!
Ms. Clarkson Tweeted:
I'm teaming up with @StateFarm for its #CelebrateMyDrive program! 2 high schools will win concerts with me! http://t.co/7N70poqvDo

State Farm started up Celebrate My Drive last year, and it's all about making responsible and safe drivers. Most people drive cars, but car crashes actually constitute the number one fatality for teens. Things like keeping your eyes on the road, keeping two hands on the wheel, and not texting while driving are all important things for drivers to remember.
Schools take part in the Celebrate My Drive program, so if you want your school to join, you'll need to get yours signed up by October 17. Then, from October 18 through 26, you'll want to go to celebratemydrive.com and make commitments to safe driving. This isn't just for students — teachers, parents and friends can also take part. A bunch of prizes are being given out, and your school could win a $100,000 grant (!!), where one tenth of the money goes to a driver safety program and the rest of the money can be spent elsewhere.
Buuutttt . . . I know why you're here. Two participating high schools will win exclusive performances by Kelly Clarkson! You've still got some time before the week of October 18, so that gives you plenty of opportunity to get your school involved, learn the official rules, and check out the VMAs to see who wins Best Video With a Social Message!
