We love catching up on sleep, but sometimes staying up late has major benefits. Last night, for example, we were treated to what might be the best Instagram photo of all time. Sophia Bush shared a snap of her engaging in a same-sex lip lock with friend and singer-songwriter Betty Who -- and it was all in the name of equality!
In light of the recent anti-gay propaganda coming out of Russia, many people have spoken out against the United States participating in the upcoming 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law earlier this summer which would ban the "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations to minors." This law means that any LGBTQ athletes, fans, or members of the press who travel to Russia for the Olympic Games might face jail time for who they are.
Bush also Tweeted the photo, where she wrote, "Hey #Russia, I kissed a girl. And I liked it. #boycott Russia #LGBTQequality #BoycottSochi." Hey Sophia, you kissed a girl. And we loved it!

Confession: we didn't think it was fair for Darren Criss to ONLY kiss one person, so we thought we'd set the actor up in a kissing booth. You know, just so everyone could have a chance to help him raise money for his favorite cause! The "Glee" star is, no surprise, a big fan of music education, so we think it'd be pretty much the greatest thing ever if every lip lock helped raise money for organizations like Education Through Music, which partners with inner-city schools to provide music as a "core subject" for students.
+ Don't Judge Blake Shelton & Adam Levine
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton might compete as judges on NBC's "The Voice," but we don't think they'd mind batting for the same team if it meant raising money for LGBTQ equality. Like Bush, Levine has been an outspoken advocate for equal rights for years. Just last summer he told us that if he was the POTUS for the day, the first thing he would do is make gay marriage legal. We don't think anyone could turn down a lip lock from the singer, but if Shelton needs more convincing, we're sure Adam could talk him into it. After all, LGBTQ equality is a personal issue for Levine: his brother is gay. We think this bromantic lip lock would be the perfect way to raise money for organizations like GLAAD and The Trevor Project.

Earlier today we caught Miley Cyrus swapping spit with a VMA moonman, so we can't stop thinking about which celeb we'd want to see her kiss. We know she's close with gal pal Demi Lovato, so why not pair the two up for a smooch that would definitely be a "Fire Starter"? After all, the singers could join forces to raise money for mental health, a cause that's close to both of their hearts. Demi recently started her own scholarship for people who need treatment for addiction and mental health issues. And our girl Miley supports organizations like To Write Love On Her Arms, which helps those suffering from depression, self-injury, addiction, and suicide.
