Just last week it was announced that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis would bring their "Same Love" hit to the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. Before they hit up Brooklyn tho, the duo spread the love in Manhattan by helping a woman propose to her fiancée before their "Good Morning America" performance.

It's hard to get noticed in a crowd of 5,000 screaming fans, but Val managed to stand out by holding a sign that read "Can I propose to my girlfriend on stage?" Tom Kelly, the comedian who was warming up the crowd before Macklemore & Ryan Lewis took the stage, noticed the woman in the crowd and pulled her and her girlfriend out of the crowd. After all, who could say no to a cute couple holding a rainbow-colored poster board? And let's not forget that the duo's hit song champions marriage equality.

Once on stage, Val popped the question and Kara, unsurprisingly, said yes! "Same love," they said in unison after they hugged each other. After the emotional proposal (We were there and cried tears of happiness!), the elated couple watched Macklemore & Ryan Lewis BRING IT in Central Park from the side of the stage. They even got a chance to talk and take pictures with Macklemore after the show. Can you say best engagement story. EVER.
