The second season of "Nikki & Sara LIVE" started this week, and the two comediennes are here to brighten up your Tuesday nights with humor and pop culture commentary. They continue their jokes and commentary on Twitter, where Nikki made a comment many women would relate to.
Nikki Tweeted:
If Kate Upton is "curvy", can we all just give up?

Because she's in the comedy world she phrased it in flippant way, but she has a good point here. There are a lot of societal standards about how people, especially women, are supposed to look. Many people envy supermodel Kate Upton for her body, but even Kate has been blasted for her appearance. Believe it or not, she has been criticized by some for her weight (she was actually once described as having "huge thighs, NO waist, big fat floppy boobs, terrible body definition.") Kate responded by saying, "I love my body . . . I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great."
Kate sounds like she's over any criticism, though there are still plenty of women probably thinking, "Well, if Kate's considered too big, then what does that make me?" But as the supermodel alludes to above, confidence is key. You can be confident and happy at any size, and this is way more sexy than a specific dress size. And the more people get out there and show this, the more we'll see it become an accepted truth in society. So what are we waiting for?
