The third season of "Teen Wolf" has got to be one of the best seasons yet. And not just because hot twin alphas, Aiden and Ethan, have joined the pack at Beacon Hills High. We recently sat down with leading lady Crystal Reed to chat real-life lessons, and facing discrimination in her Romeo and Juliet-esque on-screen romance.
On "Teen Wolf," Crystal plays a werewolf-hunter who is in love with a werewolf. Their forbidden romance has been put to the test many times over the years, but their differences can never keep them apart for too long. Crystal hopes that real-life couples facing discrimination follow their hearts rather social or societal norms. "You shouldn't let [discrimination] stop you," she says. "You should do whatever you feel like you want to do. Especially when you're driven by love -- that's one thing that you can never deny." Speaking of doing whatever we wanna do, Crystal wishes she had been more herself in high school. "I spent a lot of my high school time trying to be somebody that everyone else wanted me to be," she shares. "And it really didn't matter. You've just gotta be yourself."
We know first hand how awesome "Teen Wolf" fans are (remember when the Sterek Campaign adopted a real-life wolf pack?!), and so does Crystal. "We have the most dedicated fans," she says. "I really adore them." Follow the action links below to stand up against bullying and discrimination like Crystal and her T.V. alter ego, Allison Argent, and catch "Teen Wolf" on MTV, Mondays at 10/9c.
