Diem Brown became a celebrity because of her work on "The Challenge," but she became a hero to countless people because of how she challenged cancer head–on.
You can catch Diem on "The Challenge: Rivals II" Wednesdays at 10/9c, and if you want more Diem, she's got some pretty inspirational Tweets on Twitter!!
Yesterday Diem was doing a lot of Tweeting with her followers. She was really touched when one fan honored Diem for her bravery and shared a moving pic:

Diem has battled cancer twice, and she famously posed without hair for People magazine. "Going through cancer the first time, and truly the second time, I've always wanted to Google Image bald women," she said about the photo op. "So I wanted to kind of give images of strength, of beauty, of kind of owning the new you."
Besides empowering cancer patients with this photo shoot, Diem has made an online MTV special called "Surviving Cancer with Diem Brown." In it, she said, "I never wanted cancer to stop me." On top of that, she's the creator of MedGift, a medical gift registry available online. She was also talking about MedGift on Twitter yesterday, including her plans to expand it:
