Last week, Peter Jackson gave an exclusive sneak peek of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" to the fans of "An Unexpected Journey" who bought the Blu-ray or DVD. During an hour-long livestream, Jackson answered some questions about the next movie, complete with behind-the-scenes footage from the film and two pieces of concept art.
Always one to please the fans, Jackson has posted a 6-minute segment of the livestream, ahead of an edited version of the whole thing going up over at the "Hobbit" official site sometime in the near future. What we get now is a look at the Q&A session, where you'll get looks at a few new characters including Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel, Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman, and Stephen Fry as the Master of Laketown.
We've taken a few screen grabs of the new stuff, plus a look at the concept art of Mirkwood forest. Check it all out after the jump!
"The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" opens on December 13.
