Is your consumption of paranormal teen romances about to go way down when the "Twilight Saga" ends on Friday?

Well, we have a trailer for you. "The Mortal Instruments" has become a fairly large phenomenon in the YA realm in its own right, and now there is a film adaptation out next year starring Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

MTV News has your first look at the first for the first film of the planned series, "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones." Watch above and learn more about the movie below.

"The Mortal Instruments" tells the story of Clary Fray (Lily Collins), a young girl who can see more of the world than the normals aka the Mundanes. She discovers this special talent when she first encounters Jace Wayland (Jamie Campbell Bower), a Shadowhunter, someone who hunts demons.

"The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" opens on August 23, 2013.
