It's finally time for Rex to get his party on.
The lovable "Toy Story" dinosaur has been a staple of the Pixar franchise and many of its spinoff short films, but never in a role like this. A new short, titled "Partysaurus Rex," has been released online by Disney after it premiered in front of the 3D re-release of "Finding Nemo" in September and then again on the Disney Channel Monday.
Rex gets the party started in the six-minute video after he is taken by Bonnie on an exciting trip to the bath tub. After Bonnie's bath ends, Rex discovers that he is the only toy with arms that can turn the tub back on and keep the party alive, earning the nickname "Partysaurus Rex."
If this made you nostalgic for the "Toy Story" franchise -- which ended its run with 2010's "Toy Story 3" -- then we've got some good news for you. Disney is apparently working on a TV project called "Toy Story of Terror." Here's the synopsis for the new "Toy Story" adventure, courtesy of /Film:
"What starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this Toy Story of Terror," the synopsis reads.
The plan is to have the special be a half an hour long and air during the 2013 Halloween season.
