Alicia Keys, P!nk and Jada Pinkett Smith have joined forces with the mtvU Against Our Will Campaign to fight human trafficking. The dynamic trio (Can you imagine if they all sang together?!) lent their voices to read poems written by survivors of sex trafficking. Alicia knows that spreading the word about slavery and letting victims express themselves are two important things, and she's out to tell more people about mtvU's campaign.

Her link leads you to a story she wrote for the Huffington Post. In it, AK opens with talking about the importance of self-expression. From there she goes on to discuss human trafficking and how the survivors from GEMS (Girls Educational and Mentoring Services) turned to poetry to heal their wounds.

"I was awestruck by the words of these strong and beautiful young women who shed light on the issue of human trafficking, despite the dark depths of suffering they've experienced by being forced to sell their bodies," Alicia wrote. "These young women rise above to evoke compassion, hope and inspiration."

Alicia also wants you to ask yourself what it would be like if you or someone you knew was forced into human trafficking. It is seriously happening in our backyards, in all fifty states. Alicia Keys is serious about fighting it, and so is Against Our Will.
