Superstorm Sandy came ashore late yesterday, and many celebs (and, well, people in general) are Tweeting their well-wishes for people in its path.
New York is one of the places getting hit, and New York native Lady Gaga is very concerned about the situation. While she joked about not watching "Grease" anymore (because of the character named Sandy), her true feelings were felt in her Tweets:
i know its gonna be ok, but that water flooding downtown while my friends are sitting in the dark is making me sad. i love you new york.

#SandyNeedsToSitDown miss you mom, dad, natali and all my friends. :( i wanna be there in the rain with you

its such a testament to New York that none of my friends or family members have left. not even my blind grandma in NJ.

While Gaga gives kudos to her family for staying in place, keep in mind that some areas are under mandatory evacuation. It depends on your area, so keep up with what officials are telling you if you're in an area affected by Sandy.
Jennifer Lopez, who is from the Bronx, sent out a useful Tweet for people who need to find shelter:
If you need a safe place to stay, shelter info avail. in #RedCross HurricanApp #Sandy bit.ly/red__cross

And Diddy, who was born in Harlem, also Tweeted about the storm:
Praying for everyone on the East Coast! Be safe! God Bless! #frankenstorm

Canada is getting hit as well, and Canadian Justin Bieber sent out his well-wishes:
everyone dealing with the hurricane up north be safe

Others not from the affected areas joined in, too. San Diego native Adam Lambert's Tweet, for example, got right to the point and gave a pumped-up message.
Sending strength to east coasters. Sandy cant break our spirit!

Twitter is full of well-wishes and thoughts about Sandy. Adam and others know we can do this! We also have ideas on how you can help!
