Mark Wahlberg and Michael Bay are talking about working together on a project but, to be clear, it's not "Transformers 4."
Many assumed when news first broke that the two were working together that they would be teaming up for the upcoming "Transformers" sequel. After all, "Transformers 4" is starting from scratch following "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," bringing in new human characters and even new Autobots and Decepticons.
However, if your first instinct is to think that Wahlberg is a bit too big a name for a "Transformers" movie, then you'd be right. Bay quickly stepped forward to clarify that he and Wahlberg are working on something different.
"The Mark Wahlberg T4 rumor is just a rumor," Bay wrote on his website. "Mark and I are talking about another film project."
Well, that settles that. Bay is currently working on "Pain and Gain," which Wahlberg stars in. Apparently the two of them had a good enough relationship that they decided to make another movie together, and our guess is that it will probably be along the same comedic and action-packed lines as "Pain and Gain." However, Bay is assumedly gearing up to work on "Transformers 4" next while Wahlberg is filming "Lone Survivor" now and then reportedly heading into "Good Time Gang." It doesn't seem like this Wahlberg/Bay project will see the light of day until several years down the road.
