There are a few problems with "A Good Day to Die Hard." The issues with the name go without saying, but the first trailer gave us the feeling that the idiocy of "Live Free or Die Hard" would creep its way into a fifth installment of the series. It was all shooting, explosions, and Jai Courtney's head, which in theory could be worn by another human as a helmet.
Now a second trailer for "A Good Day to Die Hard" is online over at Yahoo! Movies UK & Ireland, but here's the thing: it actually kind of looks like a "Die Hard" movie. We know, impossible, but it's true.
The preview offers a good amount of set-up, even a glimpse of John McClane's daughter, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. It fleshes out the trailer beyond the "err.. Die Hard in Russia" vibe from the first.
Check it out and the new poster (via EW) after the jump!
Official synopsis:
Iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, for the first time, finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack–unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.
"A Good Day to Die Hard" opens in theaters on February 14, just in time to really upset your girlfriend.
