Fun fact of the day: MTV Act is more than just a blog. Yup, we have a VMA category too: Best Video With A Message! This year, Demi Lovato won the coveted award for her will-definitely-make-you-tear-up tune "Skyscraper." Last year's winner? None other than Lady Gaga for "Born This Way." So we got on the 2012 VMA red carpet and totally geeked out about our category! We asked celebs about their all time favorite music video...with a message.

Who's brain did we pick on the red carpet? We chatted with Gotye (sans body paint), Tyga (Who name-checked Michael Jackson and was kinda dressed like him in that red leather tank. Thriller-era MJ, obvs), the eternally cute "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Posey and my dirty crush of the moment, A$AP Rocky. Watch them get all deep with us below!

So what's your fave video music video with a message? I'm torn between Salt-N-Pepa's "Let's Talk About Sex" and Pearl Jam's "Jeremy." Can you say stuck in the 90s? I'll proudly admit it though, especially since 90s fashion is back!
