Before Jennifer Lawrence gets back into the arena as Katniss in "Catching Fire," she's first going to have to survive the "House at the End of the Street."
The horror film is due in theaters on September 21, and now Shock Till You Drop has offered up two new clips from the film. Lawrence's character Elissa doesn't look like she's doing too well in "House at the End of the Street," as she spends more time in the dark than she does in the light.
In the first clip, we see Elissa being tormented by something terrifying down in a basement. She finds herself trapped in the room with nothing but a finicky flashlight to keep her sane, and that doesn't do a very good job of staying on. But who turned off the basement light, and what flies at Elissa when she's trapped in the dark? This wouldn't be a very good horror film if we knew the answers up front.
The second clip shows the beginnings of Elissa's relationship with Ryan (Max Thieriot), who picks her up after she gets stranded on the side of the road in the rain. It probably wasn't the best idea to have the first topic of conversation in the car be the fact that his parents have died, though. Ryan clearly is dealing with some post-traumatic stress after his sister killed both of their parents, but Elissa likely didn't know much about that incident beforehand. Based on what we know about this flick, Elissa will soon become very well acquainted with Ryan and his sister.
"House at the End of the Street" also stars Elizabeth Shue as Elissa's mother.
