Wanda Sykes can make us laugh, and she can also make us think about politics. The ultra funny stand-up comic will be hosting two election specials -- starting tonight! -- called "NewNowNext Vote With Wanda Sykes" that look at politics with a LGBT slant.
The first special is going to be airing tonight at 10/9c on Logo, and the second will air on November 5 (Election Night Eve!) at 10:30/9:30c. The topics to be talked about are tailored to LGBT viewers, including gay marriage, healthcare and Supreme Court appointments.
Some of the panelists for the first program have been announced, and they include voices from both the Democratic and Republican parties. Democratic Congressman Barney Frank, the first openly gay member of Congress, will be joined by Jimmy LaSalvia, co-founder and Executive Director of GOProud, a conservative gay group. Also appearing will be MSNBC news anchor Thomas Roberts, Democratic pundit Hilary Rosen, historian Rick Shenkman and Joe Solmonese, co-chair of Obama 2012 Campaign and former president of the Human Rights Campaign.
There's going to be a lot (and I mean a loooot) of political talk between now and November, and it's super important to stay informed. But Wanda should be able to put a little fun in all this as she hosts the programs. We have a special exclusive clip for ya, and don't forget to watch the full specials so you can enjoy Wanda's mind while educating yourself on the issues!
