No, it's not "Hunger Games," but last weekend Peeta Josh Hutcherson did get involved with a celeb basketball game -- for charity!
First Josh gave us the heads up on Twitter:

Then, 'cause tickets must have sold out really fast online, he gave us this update:

This was the first annual Josh Hutcherson Celebrity Charity Basketball Game and it happened in Los Angeles. Josh (who's back to blonde since he's filming soon for "Hunger Games: Catching Fire") got together with some of his famous friends to shoot hoops and entertain the crowd. I know just seeing Josh would have been reason enough for many of us to come on over, but the event was about more than that. Benefits went to Straight But Not Narrow, an LGBT group that aims to get heterosexual people involved, esp. young heterosexual men. The idea is that you don't have to be LGBT to support LGBT peeps and their rights. Not only did Josh want to help the group get funds, but he wanted to teach more people about its existence.
Josh is a big-time supporter of Straight But Not Narrow and has done a PSA for them. This is a super personal cause for him, because he had two gay uncles, but both sadly died of AIDS. Since then Josh has become one of Hollywood's most famous LGBT advocates. Hey, he definitely made it to our list of 10 Celebs Celebrating LGBT Pride in June.
So we can't wait to see more of Peeta . . . and of the second annual Josh Hutcherson Celebrity Charity Basketball Game. Let the games begin!
