It probably comes as no shock that self-esteem levels tend to be low in young women, but the "Sing for Self-Esteem" online video contest is trying to get those levels up while spotlighting talented female singers.

Bellaboo Natural Skin Care, a company from Australia, has hooked up with ULTA Beauty to put this contest together and get the ball rolling. In the contest, everyone will be singing the same song, but you can get creative and innovative when you make a video of yourself singing. All you've got to do is tape yourself singing the song and submit that vid on Facebook. A song has been created just for this contest, and it's called "Bellaboo Girl."

You can listen to the song and get the words on YouTube, and it has lyrics like "She's plus size, small size and she's everything in-between/Got the heart to change the world, Boo you know just what I mean."

The point is to help boost your self-esteem, but there's also an aspect where aspiring singers can strut their stuff. A jury will pick their fave singer and she'll be invited to sing at the contest's grande finale on September 15. Winner will also get her song released on iTunes and a music video too.

The event's being hosted by "High School Musical's" Monique Coleman, and she knows a thing or two about singing. But she's not the only name involved in this contest: Benni Cinkle, who was in Rebecca Black's "Friday" and now has her own non-profit called That Girl in Pink which works to prevent teen suicide, is also backing the contest.

"Just be yourself," said Benni about the contest. "This is an amazing opportunity and a lot of you have a lot of talent."

Entries close August 9, so if you're thirteen or older, bring it on!
