We love a good viral video, and this one is quite the gem! In Lebanon, New Hampshire, a local children's hospital created a lip-sync video to Katy Perry's "Roar", and I couldn't even get halfway through it without tearing up!
+Watch children's hospital lip-sync Katy Perry's "Roar."
This beautiful video was created for CHaD's (Children's Hospital at Dartmouth) annual charity event. Every year, since 2006, CHaD sets up a half marathon and ripcord 5k in order to raise awareness and money for childhood cancer. This year, they raised over $650,000, which is on some next level ish.
In the video, the entire hospital takes part in their own rendition of Katy's fabulous song that has been stuck in my head for weeks. As the clip unfolds, the young kids glow with the brightest smiles, showing their bravery no matter the difficulty they face. The nurses and administrators even chime in, showing off their dancing skills!
This video is so touching, and childhood cancer is something we DEF need to keep on spreading awareness about. Nearly 720 new children daily are affected by cancer, this equates out to 263,000 children a year. Thankfully, we have incredible charities like Alex's Lemonade working to combat cancer.
Ahhh, this lip dub is the sweetest! We wonder if Katy is going to pay the hospital a visit soon, perhaps sporting an "International Smile?"
