JWOWW and Snooki have a lot to be excited about this week. Not only is the new season of "Snooki & JWOWW" happening Tuesday at 10/9c, but starting today same-sex couples can get married in New Jersey.
This step forward for LGBTQ rights is a big deal for JWOWW and Snooki, who are both very vocal in their support for LGBTQ equality. JWOWW Tweeted:
Gay couples in New Jersey will be able to marry starting Monday!!! Sorry CC

The "CC" probably refers to New Jersey governor Chris Christie, who has been fighting to keep same-sex couples from getting married in the state. Essentially, a court in New Jersey said that same-sex couples could begin to get married October 21, Governor Christie's administration challenged it, asking for a delay, and the New Jersey Supreme Court said, (I'm paraphrasing), "No, same-sex couples can go ahead and start getting married October 21."
Actually, what the Court said was, "When a party presents a clear case of ongoing unequal treatment, and asks the court to vindicate constitutionally protected rights, a court may not sidestep its obligation to rule for an indefinite amount of time."
In an MTV Act interview, JWOWW said about marriage equality, "I think everyone, gay, straight, should be able to have that [a marriage] and cherish that and have all the pictures, the family, everything. It's really important to me."
So the season premiere of their show AND a big step forward for equality in New Jersey? Best. Week. EVER for JWOWW and Snooki.
