It's #ThrowbackThursday, and chances are your Instagram feed is full of awkward, adorable, or awkwardly adorable pics of your friends and followers from back in the day. If your fave thing about Thursdays is celebrity throwbacks, we've got 'em for ya! Today: MTV's very own Vinny Guadagnino.
When we met Vinny on the first season of "Jersey Shore," he was GTL, DTF, and -- like most young adults -- even sometimes a little WTF?! He's always been totally lovable, but over the years, he's grown from a party guy into a gentleman, a businessman, and a philanthropist worthy of mucho celebratory fist pumping.
For starters, we were super proud of Vinny when he opened up to the world about his anxiety. "I was happy to shed light on it," Vinny said of sharing his struggles with the world. "Sometimes you feel like this and you're like, 'What the hell is wrong with me?'" There's been a stigma attached to discussing mental health for too long, but when Vinny and other celebs keep it real, it makes it easier for their fans to open up, get help, and help each other out.
Vinny is also super outspoken about his support of the LGBT community, and recently joined the NOH8 campaign. "I really don't label people as gay. They're just people to me," he told us earlier this year. "I have friends who are gay and I don't care. I have my own stuff and everyone has their own thing."
As the first season of Vinny's new talk show -- "The Show With Vinny" -- comes to a close, we wanna salute how far he's come since we first met him back in '09. Catch the last couple episodes on MTV, Thursdays at 10/9c, and click the Action Links below to follow in Vinny's inspiring footsteps.
