Hurricane Sandy caused large amounts of destruction on the East Coast, which led the MTV fam — PLUS ALL YOU AWESOME GUYS OUT THERE!! — to raise donations through Restore the Shore. The Seaside Heights boardwalk has been reopened, and fun. was there to celebrate and perform.
On Friday, the band Tweeted:

The overcast weather might not have been the greatest, but who cares? Everyone was thrilled to be there and see all the work that's been done to restore the shore. The "Today" show even made a special point of covering this exciting development. Some of our own "Jersey Shore" cast was also there, and they Tweeted pics and vids of what was going on.
Vinny Tweeted:

While this is great news, there is still plenty of work to be done in order to get the East Coast back to where it was pre-Sandy. You can continue to give to Sandy relief efforts or do volunteer work if you're in the area or able to visit. That way the boardwalk can get even better...and, dare I say, more "fun."?
