Sing it, brother! Pharrell is on FIRE these days, between topping the iTunes singles chart with Robin Thicke and T.I. on "Blurred Lines" and climbing Billboard charts on Daft Punk's "Get Lucky." Now, he has officially proven that aside from lending his voice to summer's hottest tracks, lending his voice to a good cause is just as (if not more) important.
The multi-talented recording artist, in conjunction with Connie Yowell, Director of Education Grantmaking at the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, wrote a brilliant op-ed piece discussing the American education system. With the education system in America struggling from state to state, arts education advocate Pharrell used the op-ed to share his positive approach to how we as a society should begin to view this system that many claim "broken."
