United Nation's World Humanitarian Day is almost here (Sunday!), so we wanted to give y'all an activist boost by rounding up the hottest celebs wilin' out for the international org. Check out how Beyonce, Selena Gomez, Shakira, Christina Aguilera, and David Beckham all get their ambassador on for the UN!
+ Beyonce
Queen Bey is really leaving her diva footprint (imagine a Louboutin platform heel of love) on World Humanitarian Day. Not only did she star in a moving PSA for the holiday with heart, she filmed a once-in-a-lifetime music video for "I Was Here" inside the UN (#neverbeendone) that will premiere on Sunday to hype up the social action. Clearly, Jay's lady wants their little girl Blue Ivy to grow up in a better world -- way to show your halo, Beyonce!
+Selena Gomez
Justin's GF is really drinking the kiddie kool-aid, or rather fresh H2O, as the youngest UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador ever. She advocates for clean drinking water through their Tap Project (even if that means selling her own), urges her fans to help out the drought-devastated Sahel region of Africa (the real year without rain), and performed a charity concert to support the child-lovin' org. Be like Gomez and love the world like a love song, baby!
+Shakira
The Colombian pop star dances like she's possessed by some awesome she-wolf spirit -- and it must be the same passion that fuels her work for UNICEF. As an advocate for children's rights, she's made relief trips to Bangladesh, El Salvador and South Africa. "I believe that I have to use the resources provided by my artistic career in order to tell people about real problems in the real world," Shakira explains, "and I know that I have to contribute to the search for real solutions. I'm sure that our planet will be a better place if each one of us will take responsibility for the needs of others." Her hips -- and lips -- don't lie!
+Christina Aguilera
Xtina feeds aspiring singers' dreams as a judge/coach on "The Voice" (season 3 premieres on September 10!) -- but she really takes that role literally as a UN Goodwill Ambassador Against Hunger. She's visited Haiti and Guatemala as a fighter against empty bellies and recently filmed a new PSA for the effort. "As a mother, the idea that even one child could go to bed hungry is unacceptable…and that's why I'm so passionate about fighting global hunger," Christina proclaims. She's not gonna give up, so you can't either!
+David Beckham
You may not be able to bend it like Beckham (or drive a speedboat to the Olympic Opening Ceremony) but you can still give back like him! The soccer hunk has been a UNICEF Goodwill Amabassador since 2005 and unsurprisingly, he focuses on their special Sports for Development program. Becks has traveled to a war-torn Sierra Leone to call attention to the country's suffering children and played soccer with at-risk youth living in a UNICEF-backed shelter in the Phillipines. The British striker has a golden heart AND a golden foot.
