The winners of the MTV Act Aspire Awards have been announced! Yup, in the wee early hours just after midnight (or the late hours for all of you still up) the Aspire Awards made its super big announcement, and we want to share the winners with you!
A few months ago we at MTV Act teamed up with the Adobe Youth Voices Aspire Awards and asked YOU to make online vids about the kind of social change you believe in. There were all different categories you could use, like Narrative, Animation and Photography. And after all the submissions came in, we also asked YOU to pick the winners by voting for the vids you liked best. Each category gets a first, second and third place winner to keep it fair, so we have quite a few awesome individuals winning big today.
We especially want to bring your attention to the winners for the MTV Act Aspire Award. Five young men -- PJ Poloai, Jose Saavedra, Diamante Horton, Richard Kaho and Fabio Aguilar -- put together a music vid called "20 20 Vision" to help students with their schooling. They got their inspiration from President Obama's initiative to have more college graduates in 2020 than ever before.
Wanna learn a little more about these talented guys? PJ is in Cogswell College to get a degree in music production. Jose is a musician who lists his talents as being a "sound engineer/producer and writer." Diamante has performed all over the country and gets props for his songwriting abilities. Richard also writes and has an artistic voice. Fabio is all about video production and you can thank him for his editing skills. Who wants to give these guys a round of applause? Insert Emoji of clapping hands.
This and more can be found over at the Aspire Awards, so check out what we have going on! And thank YOU for entering and YOU for voting!
