Ever since the Driver came back to life at the steering wheel and drove off into the sunset, we've needed to see more from the actor-director duo of Ryan Gosling and Nicolas Winding Refn.
The pair is following up "Drive" with another trippy dive into the crime genre, "Only God Forgives." In the latest issue of Empire, the magazine reports back from the Bangkok set and happily suggests that we are in for more of what we loved so much in "Drive."
The reporter on set recorded his thoughts as he looked over storyboards from the film. "As to our exact thoughts on the movie on the floor in front of us, they are simply these: if you liked Drive, you are going to have an aneurysm over Only God Forgives."

Refn has never stuck to one clear aesthetic or tone through his career, but according to the director himself, there will be some connections to the dreamy L.A. of "Drive." "This one is very much a continuation of that language," he said. "It's based on real emotions, but set in a heightened reality. It's a fairy tale."
"Only God Forgives" was originally planned as his follow-up to "Valhalla Rising," but that was when Gosling approached him about directing "Drive." "I wanted to do a Western, a straight up gangster movie after 'Valhalla Rising,' " Refn said. "But all that changed."
The script comes with a ringing endorsement from Gosling, who is also attached to a Refn-directed remake of "Logan's Run." "It was the strangest thing I'd ever read," he said. "But I was in."
