There's a new judge on NBC's "The Voice," and it squawks even louder than Christina Aguilera does. Oops! Sorry! Looks like The Wanted took over the Act blog for a sec there. Doooown, boys! Cee Lo Green stirred up some controversy of his own when he announced his plans to swap his (well, actually, Dr. Evil's) signature lap cat with a Mulaccan cockatoo named Lady.
Another female judge sounds like a great idea -- if anything, to keep ladies' eyes from exploding from prolonged Adam Levine exposure. But there's one problem: apparently Mulaccan cockatoos are endangered and don't do well in captivity. In an interview with TMZ, Monica Engrebretson, of animal rights org Born Free USA, said that, "[When in captivity] many Moluccan cockatoos develop self-destructive behavior including feather plucking and self-mutilation not known to occur in the wild."
We're sure that animal lover Cee Lo meant no harm but we think he should stick with his kitty cat to avoid any more dramz. What other non-endangered animals would you like to see on the next season of "The Voice"? A pup? A Siamese fighting fish? Or maybe I could sit on Adam Levine's lap and pretend to be a cat??
