At the Kids' Choice Awards last week, Nick Cannon said he's a "curator for pop culture." Now he's an ambassador for health.
Back in December, the rapper/actor/comedian/radio host (Yup, he's a busy dude.) suddenly discovered he had kidney failure. One minute the 31-year-old was enjoying a family vacay in Aspen with megastar Mariah Carey and their twins, the next minute he was cooped up in a hospital bed giving the fight of his life.
A couple of months later, the doctors told Nick that he has a rare form of autoimmune disease lupus. But Nick is doing anything but taking the news lying down. On Monday, he tweeted the link to the first episode of his new documentary series "Ncredible Health Hustle," which chronicles his personal journey to recovery.
If my journey can help one person it was all worth it. Watch Now nickcannon.com/post/ncredible…

The project will capture the ups and down Nick faces seeking medical treatment. In the first installment of this new project, he narrates, "A few days ago, I was with my family in the snow, playing, having a good time. All of a sudden, I started swelling up, having shortness of breath, excruciating pain in my right side. I wake up in the hospital, a bunch of doctors telling me I've got kidney failure… This is my journey. Ups and downs. It's raw. It's personal. My setbacks and my triumphs. My pain, my grind, my life."
