Our Summer Movie Preview Week continues with an exclusive look at "Moonrise Kingdom" character Cousin Ben!
The Wes Anderson film follows two twelve year olds who fall in love in the summer of 1965. They flee from their home island off the coast of New England and travel into the wilderness. As the Sheriff leads a search party to hunt them down, a storm approaches and their once peaceful home is shaken beyond anyone's control—which might be the town's saving grace. The all-star cast includes Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton and Jason Schwartzman, who plays Cousin Ben.
Cousin Ben is a Falcon Scout and Legionnaire. He runs the Supply and Resources outpost at Fort Lebanon and knows what to do in a tight situation. It seems his character's antics may provide some comic relief to the drama. In our exclusive interactive poster, there's an image of Cousin Ben and his troop running across the bridge with the caption: "We've located the missing troop. They just fled camp. We're in pursuit. They're accompanied by a twelve-year-old girl in knee-socks and Sunday-school shoes."
But laughs aside, Cousin Ben proves to be a good leader by declaring to his troop what's really important. "Listen to me," he says. "We're here for friendship. We're going to get you off this island."
